The promise of 3D Printing is that you can make anything, but that is only true if you know how to design for 3D Printing, especially when using metal Additive Manufacturing processes. This session, the second of a two-part series, will review what fundamental knowledge design engineers must know, the various factors that go into designing a good metal AM part, how to define components (yes you still need drawings), and provide some best practices. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of what they need to do to effectively design parts that not only use Additive Manufacturing but that benefit from it.
